At Aphrodite Egg Bank we follow a strict donor screening process that meets the requirements of Health Canada, the EU Tissues and Cells Directive, HFEA (UK) and FDA (US). Currently, we have more than 2000 available oocytes from more than 100 donors coming from all over the world. (Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa)
All our donors are tested for up to 302 recessive genes, including Cystic Fibrosis (CF), Fragile X, and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). Something that is unique to our clinic is that we keep DNA sample for all donors indefinitely, allowing us to perform additional tests in the future, if necessary.
